HC Deb 10 April 1946 vol 421 cc1897-9
2. Mr. Boothby

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he will now publish a full list of naval commands, afloat and ashore, together with the names of the flag officers in command; and whether, in future, flag appointments will be announced by the Admiralty before public reference to them by subordinate naval authorities is permitted.

Mr. Dugdale

The answer to both parts of the Question is "Yes, Sir." I will, with permission, publish the list of Naval Commands in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

Mr. Boothby

Can the hon. Gentleman say whether the unofficial report that Admiral Boyd is to succeed Admiral Fraser with the Eastern Fleet is true or not?
