HC Deb 10 April 1946 vol 421 c1927
64. Wing-Commander Roland Robinson

asked the Minister of Food whether he is now in a position to announce new and improved arrangements for the allocation of fish to catering establishments.

Sir B. Smith

Yes, Sir. As is usual, I shall lift the restriction on purchases of fish by caterers during the Easter holiday but, in view of the heavy landings of fish, I do not propose to re-impose the restriction while supplies remain ample unless and until I find that the domestic consumer is being penalised by undue quantities of fish flowing to catering establishments.
