asked the Under-Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs the approximate number of horses, sheep, pigs and cattle, respectively, in Newfoundland on ist January, 1934, and 1st January, 1945.

Mr. Parker

On `1st January, 1934, there were approximately 14,600 horses, 88,000 sheep, 8,500 pigs and 15,300 cattle in Newfoundland. On 1st January last there were 17,000 horses, 95,000 sheep, 12,000 pigs and 25,000 cattle.
