§ 70. Wing-Commander Robinsonasked the Minister of Information what was the reason for the recent cuts in the staffs of the British information services in the U.S.A.
§ Mr. E. J. WilliamsThe opening of peacetime channels of communication and transport between this country and the U.S.A. make unnecessary some of the wartime activities of the British information services. The supply of some forms of publicity material is likely to be reduced. But the principal reason for reduction in staff is the need to reduce Government expenditure, and in particular dollar expenditure.
