asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the torpedo which struck the s.s. "Blackheath" came from waters adjoining the Tangier international zone.

I presume that my hon. Friend wishes to know whether his Majesty's Government have information that the torpedo was fired from Tangier territorial waters, in which case the answer is "No, Sir." The "Blackheath" was torpedoed 6¼ miles from land.
