§ 50. Mr. Dribergasked the Minister of Agriculture whether land taken over during the war in Europe by war agricultural executive committees is now in some cases to be restored to the dispossessed farmers.
Mr. ScottIn view of the critical food situation and the necessity for continuing to produce the maximum amount in this country, my right hon. Friend cannot at present contemplate the restoration of land to farmers who have been dispossessed for bad farming.
§ Mr. DribergIn order to enable a fair review to be made of these comparatively few but sometimes rather distressing cases, could the Parliamentary Secretary say whether his right hon. Friend is contemplating reconstituting these committees on a broader and more representative basis?
