HC Deb 31 January 1945 vol 407 c1454
54. Mr. Henderson Stewart

asked the Minister of Food what action he is taking in response to the protest from the Scottish Inshore Fishermen's Association against the proposed reduction of prices of white fish during the summer months.

Colonel Llewellin

I shall give careful consideration to the representations of the Scottish Inshore Fishermen's Association.

Mr. Stewart

In the interests of these people would not the right hon. and gallant Gentleman consider postponing action until he has considered the representations?

Colonel Llewellin

Oh, yes, that is what I meant. We did invite them to come to a meeting, but unfortunately they did not came. If they should wish to send delegates within the next week we shall be delighted to see them and to discuss matters with them.
