1. Mr. Graham White

asked the President of the Board of Trade what steps His Majesty's Government are taking to inform themselves of the extent and effect of restrictive agreements and of the activities of combines and to take appropriate action to check practices which may bring advantages to sectional producing interests but work to the detriment of the country as a whole.

15. Sir Percy Harris

asked the President of the Board of Trade what action the Government propose to take to implement the assurance given in paragraph 54 of the White Paper on Employment Policy that they will seek power to inform themselves of the extent and effect of restrictive agreements and of the activities of combines and to take appropriate action to check practices which may bring advantage to sectional-producing interests but work to the detriment of the country as a whole.
