HC Deb 17 January 1945 vol 407 c139
11. Sir Oliver Simmonds

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs why it was necessary for a representative of the U.S.A. to be present at the discussions between the representatives of the United Kingdom and Egyptian Governments in connection with the Anglo-Egyptian financial and economic agreement.

Mr. Eden

My hon. Friend has been misinformed. No representative of the United States of America was present at the discussions in question.
