HC Deb 17 December 1945 vol 417 cc933-4
73. Commander Marshall

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether he has a list of piers, ships, boat-repairing sheds, ice plants and other structures which have been erected by the Service Departments in England and which might be of use to the fishing community; and whether he will see that these are not dismantled without consultation with the local authorities.

Mr. T. Williams

I have some information on the subject of the hon. and gallant Member's Question but I have no comprehensive lists. I am, however, in communication with the Service Departments with a view to ensuring that the various local fishing communities are given an opportunity to acquire any surplus properties that would be useful to them.
