§ 65. Mr. Wilfrid Robertsasked the Minister of Agriculture the number of cases in the county of Cumberland in which the purchaser of a farm has been given permission to occupy the farm, and in which permission has been refused, respectively.

WilliamsMy consent is required only in cases where a notice to quit has been served on the occupier of an agricultural holding purchased since 3rd September, 1939, or subject to a contract of sale made, since that date. Of the 29 such cases in Cumberland, consent has been given in 21 and refused in eight.
