Yes, Sir. I am in communication with the Soviet Government on this subject.

Brigadier Maclean

Will the right hon. Gentleman undertake to show no less energy and determination in defending British interests in Persia than our Soviet Allies are showing in defence of Russia?

I do not think it is a question of competition.
