Captain Bairdasked the Secretary of State for War, whether he is aware of the unsatisfactory conditions of service and the lack of opportunities for promotion for Regular officers of the A.D.C.; and if he is satisfied that under present terms of service the required number of dental officers will become available to ensure an adequate dental service for the post-war Army.
§ Mr. LawsonI am aware that the number of candidates coming forward for regular commissions in the Army Dental Corps at present is inadequate, and I am considering certain measures designed 2090 to remedy this. But it must be borne in mind that there is at present an overall shortage of dentists in this country.
