Lucasasked the Minister of Labour whether the services offered by the special bureaux set up by his Ministry for returned Servicemen will be made available for returned civilian internees, in view of the similarity of their positions; and whether he has a special department dealing with the question of internees.
§ Mr. IsaacsThe primary responsibility for the welfare of civilian internees on their return to this country rests with my right hon. Friend the Minister of Health. On dispersal to their homes they are informed of the facilities for advice and information available through the Resettlement Advice Service and advised to call at their nearest Resettlement Advice Office if they are in difficulty about any matter affecting their resettlement.
