HC Deb 28 September 1944 vol 403 c408
37. Mr. W. J. Brown

asked the Minister of Health what his intentions are in respect of the recommendations of the Third Report of the Rushcliffe Committee.

Mr. Willink

I assume my hon. Friend has in mind the Report of the Mental Nurses Sub-Committee presented to me by the Nurses Salaries Committee, and I would refer him to the reply which I gave on 3rd August to my hon. Friend the Member for Wigan (Mr. Foster).

Mr. Brown

In those cases where conditions in mental hospitals are more favourable than those recommended in the Rushcliffe Report will the Minister assure the House that this Report will not be used as an instrument to lower the standard in those hospitals?

Mr. Willink

I am answering a Question later on that precise point.
