HC Deb 02 November 1944 vol 404 c936
13. Mr. Edmund Harvey

asked the Minister of Labour whether in making provision for the rehabilitation in civil life of wounded or injured members of the Services, he will consider making arrangements for disabled students and others to receive treatment in the vicinity of a university where access to books and tuition would be possible.

Mr. Bevin

The allocation of patients to hospitals must be determined primarily by medical considerations, but I will gladly make inquiry with the possibility of arranging facilities of the kind indicated by my hon. Friend, in the case of patients receiving treatment in hospitals situated in or near university towns.

Mr. Harvey

Does my right hon. Friend realise that his answer will give great satisfaction?
