Mr. Stephenasked the Minister of Information the average weekly cost of the report of each day's proceedings in Parliament in the news announcements of the B.B.C.; and whether he will consider stopping this item in the news announcements and its replacement by a fuller daily summary at an evening hour in view of the importance of Parliament in the national life.
§ Mr. BrackenIt is not possible to assess the average cost of this item in the B.B.C. news. But I will ask the Governors to consider the hon. Member's suggestion for a fuller Parliamentary summary.
