HC Deb 25 May 1944 vol 400 cc926-7
60. Mr. Bossom

asked the Minister of Health the number of authorities to which a rural district council in Kent has to apply first of all to obtain approval of, and then to proceed with the erection of, long needed housing work; and whether this same procedure is to continue after the war.

Mr. Willink

I assume my hon. Friend has in mind the approval of proposals for building new houses. When I am in a position to authorise the general provision of such houses by Local Authorities I have it in mind that the instructions issued will ensure that the Local Authority, before submitting their proposals to me, has to consult only the planning authorities.
