asked the Secretary of State for Air whether, in view of the shortage of water in a district of which he has been informed, any instructions have been issued to R.A.F. personnel regarding the need for the strictest economy of water usage.

I have been asked to reply. Yes, Sir. Water supply to a number of R.A.F. stations in the district has been strictly rationed. Instructions in regard to economy in the use of water have been issued to all R.A.F. stations.

Is my hon. and gallant Friend aware that his reply will cause great satisfaction to the people affected, particularly farmers, as the position has now become acute?
