32. Mr. Sorensen

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if his attention has been drawn to an ultimatum addressed to certain civil servants in Trinidad; whether he is aware that this has caused considerable resentment; and what action is likely to be taken both to ease the position and to have the grievances of the men considered without their employment being jeopardised.
