HC Deb 07 June 1944 vol 400 c1347
43. Mr. Driberg

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport if he has made arrangements for temporary increases of staff to deal with telephone inquiries at railway stations in the present situation.

Mr. Noel-Baker

As I said yesterday in answer to a written Question by my hon. Friend the Member for Eye (Mr. Granville), I regret that it is not practicable at present to provide additional staff or telephone facilities to deal with inquiries at railway stations.
