HC Deb 06 June 1944 vol 400 cc1196-7
41. Mr. Dobbie

asked the President of the Board of Trade if his attention has been drawn to the annual general meeting of Impregnators, Limited, and the concern expressed by the shareholders at the disclosures made; whether he is aware that the shareholders appointed an informal committee to investigate the affairs of the company and that the directors have refused to grant facilities to this committee; if he has yet received an application for his Department to appoint an inspector to inspect the affairs of the company; and what action he proposes to take.

Mr. Dalton

Yes, Sir. An application has been made to my Department for the appointment of an inspector and I have referred this application to the directors of the company for their observations. When these are received, I will consider what further action is necessary.
