§ 26. Viscount Suirdaleasked the Secretary of State for War whether, in view of the fact that prisoners of war in Germany are in a position to arrange for their accumulated pay to be invested on their behalf by their next-of-kin, or others, and in view of the fact that this facility is, in practice, not available to prisoners of war in Japan, he will arrange for interest at a suitable rate to be paid on such accumulated accounts of prisoners of war in Japanese hands.
§ Sir J. GriggThe desirability and possibility of this proposal is being examined.
