asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport, to what proportion of the merchant seamen to whom they are applicable the forms for registration as voters have been distributed; and what proportion of the recipients have actually registered.

Declaration cards are issued to seamen by the Mercantile Marine Offices in United Kingdom Ports, and by British Consular Officers abroad. I regret that I have as yet no information about the total number of cards which have so far been issued, nor about the number of men who have already registered.
