HC Deb 26 July 1944 vol 402 cc746-7
17. Mr. Pethick-Lawrence

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works whether his attention has been drawn to the disturbance caused to Debates in the House of Commons Chamber by the noise in the Lobby when the exit door at the bar end is open; and whether, during the Recess, he can take any steps, by double doors or otherwise, to reduce this inconvenience.

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works (Mr. Hicks)

I am in consultation with the authorities of the House and I will in due course communicate with my right hon. Friend about the matter.
