HC Deb 20 July 1944 vol 402 c340
30. Miss Ward

asked the Minister of Health whether he can make a statement on when it is proposed to start supplying prefabricated houses to Tyneside, in view of the serious overcrowding.

35. Mr. Hutchinson

asked the Minister of Health whether he is now able to make any statement on the policy of the Government regarding the use to be made by local authorities of factory-manufactured houses.

Mr. Willink

I would refer my hon. Friends to the statement by the Deputy Prime Minister yesterday.

Miss Ward

Will the Minister make a statement on the general priority of allocation?

Mr. Willink

I think the hon. Lady is probably aware that it was announced yesterday that there will be discussions and legislation in regard to this matter before the House rises. That will be a convenient opportunity for a statement on the subject.
