HC Deb 18 July 1944 vol 402 c28
55. Miss Ward

asked the Prime Minister whether he is aware that personnel of voluntary organisations working for and with His Majesty's Forces, in all theatres of war, are not covered by the Government against injury and death risks; and will he take steps to remedy this position.

The Prime Minister

This Question should have been addressed to my right hon. Friend the Minister of Pensions.

Miss Ward

Will the Minister of Pensions be able to give an affirmative answer, because it is a matter of very great importance? Will my right hon. Friend say whether the Minister of Pensions will have the support of my right hon. Friend and of the War Cabinet in any representations that he may make?

The Prime Minister

I could not possibly give the opinions which it might be my duty to express, in hypothetical conditions, at a meeting of the Cabinet.
