HC Deb 18 July 1944 vol 402 c146

Motion made, and Question proposed, "That the Clause stand part of the Bill."

Mr. Turton (Thirsk and Malton)

Before we leave the Clause, will the Minister say whether he could provide facilities to enable a farmer who borrowed money at a high rate of interest to convert, without paying the penalty of five per cent.?

Mr. Hudson

I do not think I could say that.

Question put, and agreed to.

Clauses 3, 4 and 5 ordered to stand part of the Bill.
