asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what is the present rate of Income Tax in Aden.

The rate of Income Tax in Aden is on a graduated scale rising from nine pies in the rupee to two annas and six pies in the rupee, according to the amount of chargeable income. There is also a Super-tax graduated in accordance with the amount of income from one anna to seven annas in the rupee. I am sending the hon. and gallant Member a statement giving fuller details.
