HC Deb 03 February 1944 vol 396 c1391
39. Mr. Vernon Bartlett

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, who are the members of the Committee on Juvenile Delinquency; and whether the Committee's findings will be made public.

56. Mr. Graham White

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department the kind of committee and the scope of the inquiry he proposes to set up on juvenile delinquency.

The Secretary of State for the Home Department (Mr. Herbert Morrison)

I am anxious to have the help of representative men and women in advancing as early as possible all practical measures for improving the law and administration. The question what is the best way of attaining this object and what should be the character and functions of any Committee raises various issues which I am exploring, and I am not yet in a position to make a statement.
