§ The Secretary of State for the Home Department (Mr. Herbert Morrison)I am anxious to have the help of representative men and women in advancing as early as possible all practical measures for improving the law and administration. The question what is the best way of attaining this object and what should be the character and functions of any Committee raises various issues which I am exploring, and I am not yet in a position to make a statement.
