13. Lieut.-Commander Hutchison

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether, in order to deprive Germany of the opportunity of ever again using Heligoland as a fortress, he will consider suggesting to our Allies that the island should revert to British sovereignty.

I have no statement to make at present on this matter, which would be more appropriate for discussion at the Peace Conference.
