HC Deb 19 April 1944 vol 399 c184
18. Sir Herbert Williams

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works in what way it is proposed to utilise the services of the Fairmile Company in connection with the Government programme for prefabricated houses.

Captain McEwen (Lord of the Treasury)

I have been asked to reply. The services of The Fairmile Marine Company were made available to my noble Friend in an advisory capacity by my right hon. Friend the First Lord of the Admiralty in the initial stages of the construction of the temporary house prototype.

Sir H. Williams

I gather there is no intention to use this firm?
