HC Deb 09 June 1943 vol 390 c710
33. Mr. Thorne

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport whether he can give any information in connection With the pilot-officer, Royal Air Force, who was found dead in a train at Euston on Tuesday night, 1st June; and whether he can say how the man was killed?

Mr. Noel-Baker

According to the information I have so far received, this pilot officer was killed, when he put his head out of the railway carriage window as his train entered a tunnel between the stations of Willesden Junction and Ruston. I take this opportunity of saying how much I deplore this tragic accident and of expressing my deep sympathy with the family of the gallant officer who lost his life.
