HC Deb 29 July 1943 vol 391 c1770
45. Mr. Stokes

asked the Prime Minister why publishing despatches in connection with events in Norway in 1940 and in Greece in 1941 would now give information of value to the enemy; and whether he will assure the House that all despatches received from generals on both of those expeditions are being carefully preserved for future study?

The Deputy Prime Minister (Mr. Attlle)

His Majesty's Government consider that the publication of the despatches in question would give information of value to the enemy. In common with other despatches the two despatches referred to by the hon. Member are being preserved and have been studied.
