§ 93. Lieut.-Colonel Sir Thomas Mooreasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he will consider setting up a Colonial Council consisting of the representatives of the Colonies in London to give and receive advice in regard to the proposed Regional Commissions and such other matters as might affect the well-being and prosperity of the Colonial peoples?
Mr. YoungMy right hon. and gallant Friend is at all times anxious that the people of the Colonial Empire should have the greatest practicable say on all important matters which affect them, but he does not consider that the setting up in London of an advisory council of representatives of the' Colonies would be a useful means of giving effect to this principle.
