§ Mr. E. BrownYes, Sir. I am well aware of the difficulty referred to in the first part of the Question. My Department has been in consultation with the Ministry of Supply on the general question, and that Department is now engaged in securing additional labour and factory space in order to increase production so as to avoid delay in the supply of spectacles to all classes of the community. With regard to the second part of the Question, I am afraid that it would not be practicable to arrange for a scheme of priority distribution of spectacle lenses for workers in all war factories.
