§ 12. Mr. Burkeasked the Minister of Labour whether he is aware of the difficulty experienced by milk distributors in Lancashire, including co-operative societies, in getting supplies to their customers owing to the shortage of labour; and whether he can make arrangements for members of the Women's Land Army to be allowed to undertake this work, seeing that many producer-retailers are employing them for this work at rates of pay less than that paid by other milk distributors and as, according to the Lancashire farmers' chief executive office, there is a long list of Women's Land Army volunteers in Lancashire anxious to obtain other employment?
