HC Deb 07 October 1942 vol 383 c1192
10. Wing-Commander Hulbert

asked the Secretary of State for Air whether, in an endeavour to speed up recruitment in the Women's Auxiliary Air Force, he will give favourable consideration to a proposal that some bonus reward or other recognition be given to all present serving personnel who enrol one recruit?

Sir A. Sinclair

I am obliged to my hon. and gallant Friend for his suggestion but I regret that for a variety of reasons it has not been found desirable to adopt it.

11. Wing-Commander Hulbert

asked the Secretary of State for Air whether he is satisfied that his order that Women's Auxiliary Air Force officers and non-commissioned officers shall only contribute two-thirds of the subscription charged to Royal Air Force personnel in messes pro- vided for the joint use of both Services is adhered to?

Sir A. Sinclair

Yes, Sir, but if my hon. and gallant Friend is aware of any cases in which the order is not being complied with and will let me know, I shall be pleased to look into them.
