HC Deb 07 October 1942 vol 383 c1209
43. Mr. Douglas

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works and Planning, whether, in view of the need for metal and the development of other satisfactory devices for indicating pedestrian crossings, he will arrange that beacon posts can be surrendered for scrap metal?

Mr. Hicks

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply I gave to the hon. Member for Plaistow (Mr. Thorne) on 3rd February last, and of which I am sending him a copy. The position has not changed since that date.
