HC Deb 18 November 1942 vol 385 c343
45. Mr. Tinker

asked the Prime Minister whether he is aware of the feeling prevailing that all ex-Service men honourably discharged from the Services should be given the King's Service Badge; and will he give consideration to it?

The Deputy Prime Minister (Mr. Attlee)

This matter has received most careful consideration. The position is as I stated on 9th June, in reply to a Question by the hon. Member for Bassetlaw (Mr. Bellenger).

Mr. Tinker

May I remind my right hon. Friend that we are in another Session and that I am expecting some further consideration to be given to this matter, and may I assure him that unless the Government make a move in the matter we shall adopt some other means to get them to change their minds?
