§ Mr. EdenAn internment camp was opened at Bangkok on 23rd December, 1941. From the latest reports that I have received it appears that, after a period of confusion at the beginning, the camp is now reasonably well organised and conditions are not unsatisfactory. Health has been good, with no epidemics, and medical treatment is satisfactory. The internees are able to supplement official rations, which are not plentiful, by purchase at the canteen. Facilities for physical exercise are not entirely adequate, but it is hoped that these will shortly be improved. Inside the camp the internees have organised themselves well, and in general the spirit of the camp is high.
