asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he can give any information in connection with the police raid made on a gaming party at No. 23, Margaret Street, W., when Joseph Davis and 17 others were charged with playing faro; whether he can say the amount of money the police found on the tables; and what are the ages of the defendants?

The organiser of the party was fined £55 with £12 costs, and fines, with costs, totalling £124 were imposed on the 17 persons found present. Thirteen pounds odd was found on the gaming table. Four of those present were under 29 years of age, and two were over 51.
