HC Deb 25 March 1942 vol 378 cc1999-2000
Captain De Chair

On a point of Order, Mr. Speaker. May I ask you how I can get an oral Answer to the last three Questions on the Order Paper, which I put down a week ago for the first available day on which I should have a rest from Army duties? If it means putting Questions down on the different days on which a Minister normally answers Questions for his Department, it means disorganisation of Army work and for members of the Forces. Is it not possible for Ministers to meet the convenience of Members serving in the Forces who want to ask Questions?

Mr. Speaker

The hon. and gallant Member is not the only Member similarly situated as regards Questions. If Members would be a little quicker over their Questions and not ask so many supplementaries, perhaps more Questions might be answered.
