HC Deb 17 March 1942 vol 378 c1315
23. Mr. Bartlett

asked the Under secretary of State for War whether he is aware that officers who have been on special courses often have no opportunity to pass on their knowledge to the men under their command owing to the number of battalion inspections and parades; and whether he will take steps to alter this state of affairs?

Mr. Sandys

The express purpose of most of these courses is to enable officers to instruct their units on their return, and the hon. Member is under a misapprehension in suggesting that they are prevented from doing so by the number of battalion inspections and parades.
