asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Economic Warfare the position with regard to the shipment of supplies from the United States of America to the French in North Africa?

As I informed the House on 24th February, the question of shipments from the United States to French North Africa is under discussion with the United States Government. The United States Under-Secretary of State has now announced in Washington that shipments will not be resumed until a satisfactory arrangement has been reached with Vichy.
