HC Deb 10 June 1942 vol 380 cc1045-6
49. Lieutenant Butcher

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether, in view of the delay in implementing the decision to establish a British Restaurant in Boston, he will take active steps to have this done?

Major Lloyd George

The proposal by the Boston Borough Council to establish a British Restaurant in Boston was approved by my Department on 8th June. Some delay arose from the necessity of referring the proposal, which involved the use of a building scheduled as an ancient monument, to another Department.
