HC Deb 03 June 1942 vol 380 cc674-5
69. Mr. William Brown

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works and Buildings whether he will ensure that, when his Department contemplates enterprises such as the establishing of factories or plants or hostels, which are likely to call on local councils for services such sewerage, lighting,' gas, electricity, etc., he will give instructions that such local authorities are to be consulted at an early "stage in the project?

Mr. Hicks

This is the standing practice of my Department, but if the hon. Member has any particular case in mind where this procedure does not appear to have been followed, I will be pleased to have an investigation made.
