I very much regret that Sir Charles Craven, who has done such excellent work as Controller-General at my Ministry, has been compelled to resign that office under orders from his doctor. I know that my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister, my predecessor and myself are very grateful to Sir Charles Craven for the great ser-vice he has rendered to the country in the production of aircraft. I hope in the course of a few days to be able to announce the arrangements which I shall in consequence make.
