HC Deb 21 July 1942 vol 381 cc1390-1
22. Captain Alan Graham

asked the Minister of Fuel and Power whether he will instruct the divisional petroleum officers to give special petrol allowances to households where, owing to the pregnancy of the housewife, transport of food for the household can only be carried out by means of the family's car?

Mr. Lloyd

I would refer the hon. Member to the statement circulated in reply to Questions by my hon. Friend the Member for Tamworth (Sir J. Mellor) and by my hon. Friend the Member for the Forest of Dean (Mr. Price) on 21st April. As then stated, the physical condition of the applicant is among the factors to be considered in the granting of petrol allowances.
