HC Deb 08 July 1942 vol 381 c759
29. Mr. David Adams

asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether it has now been decided to release Mr. Domingo from detention in Jamaica in view of the additional evidence submitted as to his loyalty and desire to continue his work on behalf of the Allied cause?

Mr. Harold Macmillan

As stated in reply to the Question by the hon. Member for Dewsbury (Mr. Riley) on 3rd June, the Governor of Jamaica has been asked to refer the case of Mr. Domingo to the Advisory Committee for review if the circumstances justify that course.

Mr. Adams

Will it be long before a decision is reached?

Mr. Macmillan

No, Sir, I expect to hear very soon.
